A common and well understood model in the provision of access matting to industry is the rental of mat products on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. This model allows the mat user extreme flexibility in managing access needs to coincide with specific project economics and also offers greater tax relief than outright ownership of significant inventories of matting. In return the provider of matting is rewarded by financial returns that compensate for the ownership risks and exposure to the cycles in demand. In a well managed rental fleet, the financial returns easily surpass the returns of many other conventional investments.

The TerraPro Mat Ownership Group represents an opportunity to participate in the equity ownership of a revenue producing inventory of rental access mats. Although the business of TerraPro Access Products Ltd. includes both sales and rentals, a significant percentage of our business is dedicated to the rental of access mats on short term, intermediate term, and long term contracts. These rental mats are uniquely designed and manufactured specifically for rental application to ensure that the integrity of the TerraPro Fleet and associated revenue streams are protected.

TerraPro offers multiple levels of participation in Mat Ownership, cognizant of the fact that different investment risk profiles exist:

  1. Fixed Return Investment Unit – This investment offers a fixed return on investment and has a fixed term associated with it.
  2. Limited Flexible Return Investment Unit – This investment offers a higher potential return but is partially based on fleet utilization factors which increase the degree of risk.
  3. Whole Mat Investment Unit – This investment offers the greatest potential return but is also tied entirely to fleet utilization.
